1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SpiceStrong ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SpiceStrong is a high-protein recipe and nutrition tracking application that provides curated recipes, AI-powered recipe generation, nutrition label scanning, meal planning, and related fitness nutrition tools.

3. Health Disclaimer

SpiceStrong is not a medical application. The App provides nutritional information and recipe suggestions for educational and informational purposes only. This information is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• Always consult your physician, dietitian, or qualified healthcare provider before starting any new diet or exercise program.
• Nutritional values displayed are estimates and may vary based on ingredients, portion sizes, cooking methods, and product formulations.
• If you have food allergies or intolerances, always verify ingredients carefully. SpiceStrong is not responsible for allergic reactions or adverse health effects.
• The Protein Quality Tier ratings and health scores are for general guidance only and should not replace professional nutritional advice.

4. AI-Generated Content

Certain features of SpiceStrong use artificial intelligence to generate recipes, meal plans, nutritional assessments, and other content. AI-generated content:

• May contain errors or inaccuracies
• Should be reviewed for accuracy before use
• Is not a substitute for professional nutritional guidance
• May not account for all individual dietary needs or medical conditions

SpiceStrong is not liable for any errors, omissions, or consequences arising from AI-generated content.

5. User Accounts and Data

SpiceStrong does not require user registration or login. Your data (recipes, pantry items, fitness profile, and preferences) is stored locally on your device. Some data may be synced to our servers to enable features like recipe sharing and community ratings.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device. SpiceStrong is not responsible for data loss due to device damage, theft, or software issues.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

SpiceStrong Premium is available as an auto-renewable subscription:

• Monthly: $4.99 per month
• Yearly: $29.99 per year

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings.

Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Any price changes will be communicated in advance.

7. Free Tier

Free users receive access to:

• 170+ curated recipes
• 5 AI-generated recipes per month
• 10 nutrition scans per month
• 2 meal plans per month
• 5 Nutrition IQ reports per month
• Unlimited ingredient information (cached)

Free tier limits reset monthly. SpiceStrong reserves the right to modify free tier limits at any time.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App
• Redistribute, sell, or sublicense any content from the App
• Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content

9. Intellectual Property

All content in SpiceStrong — including curated recipes, images, design, code, and branding — is the property of SpiceStrong and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. User-created recipes remain the property of the user.

10. Third-Party Services

SpiceStrong integrates with third-party services including:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) for recipe generation and analysis
• Edamam for nutrition data
• Open Food Facts for barcode lookups
• fal.ai for recipe image generation
• Supabase for data storage
• RevenueCat for subscription management

Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party services.

11. Limitation of Liability

SpiceStrong is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpiceStrong shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

SpiceStrong's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the App.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
